Albuquerque Shop

I fell in love with Albuquerque...again, as I attended the IAPS convention in June. I also got to visit my sister in El Paso and John and family in Dallas and Kristina and family in Nashville (Franklin). I have so many photos to paint after this summer. This is a framed Pastel of a shop 15x20.

September Sunset

With all the rain in September here in Naples we had some beautiful sunsets. This is the full picture of the one I used for the header. (favicon) Does anyone know how to change the size and make the header smaller and narrower? Yes, the sunset was this awesome.

IAPS Albuquerque Sunset

I noticed lots of artists taking pictures of the beautiful sunset on the night of out outdoor dinner. I am wondering if anyone else painted the sunset. This was painted from a photo taken from my hotel room. Thanks to Stan Spurlak for his excellent sunset demo and article in the Pastel Journal and for his Terry Ludwig demo set and also to Mt. Vision Pastels for their Thunderstorm Gray set.

Santos for Sale

I am just getting around to painting from photos taken while at the IAPS convention in New Mexico. Not sure whether this is finished. It is very different from what I normally do and mainly done with the Stephanie Birdsall Richardson pastels on Wallis paper.

Hope and Courage

These 2 paintings...Hope and Courage and Garden of Hope and Courage were done from photos taken at the Garden at NCH Hospital here in Naples. The first one is now on exhibit at the Von Liebig Museum. In honor of the Doctors and care I received I plan to donate part of the sales to Cancer Can which helps those here in Naples dealing with Breast Cancer. I also have giclees of the second painting for sale. I also will be printing cards. My cancer was found from a mammogram a a year ago and I completed chemo and radiation in May. I am now celebrating being cancer free!
